To celebrate the 12th anniversary of the Nintendo 64 release (Sept 29th, 1996), I decided to go on the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection for the 1st time, and see what all the fuss is about. Now i see... it's great. This is my very first ever match.. and it aint pretty... but it's here for "historical" purposes. |

Hello, and welcome to another Nintendo Wi-Fi with Dial-Up video hosted by yours truly. It works a lot better than Brawl did, thank god. What's so great about it is that it's identical to Mario Kart DS. Only this time you can have up to 12 players at once. =) This video is of online gameplay in Mario Kart Wii (mkwii for short) using a dial-up modem and a linksys Wireless Router. There's hardly anything wrong with it, and it runs quite smoothly. When I connected and found people, I stuck with them all until they finally left like 20 races later. Even my friend Nick (nickjuly4), creator of the Nintendo Wi-Fi with Dial-Up Tutorial, shows up to join me in my beatdown! This is the first video of several on mkwii. And what better way but to start it than on Rainbow Road, my favorite track where I'm best at. However, when the race starts.... Look up at the top left! It says 150cc! Which throws me off a little. I mean, it's faster, which is why during this race I hit the wall a few times and even miss my trick mark once. No problem though, as I crush the competition once again. I'm undefeated at Rainbow Road. I finish so far ahead, we have to wait a good while for all the "not so good" people to cross the finish line, lol. This video is 100% Legit and uses no cheat codes or save editors. (Unlike the related videos) In this video, I show you where and how to capture the Pokémon Rotom. If you fought every trainer you could find, but never went back to Eterna Forest, this is the last Pokémon that you will need to obtain the National Dex. You can only capture Rotom at night. To get Mystery Gift, go to Jubilife City and go upstairs until you see the TV Director. When he asks you questions, say EVERYONE HAPPY, then WI-FI CONNECTION. Save, reset, and you will find that Mystery Gift is now available. During April 20th to May 12th, Nintendo released an event through Nintendo Wi-Fi to get the Secret Key through Mystery Gift. Here is your chance to get the Secret Key before it is too late. If you still don't have Pokémon Platinum Version, I suggest you get it now/quickly, since this event won't be around forever. After you get the Secret Key, go to the Galactic HQ in Eterna. Go to the corner of the room and press A, unlocking a hidden door. Inside the hidden room, there are furniture that Rotom can pass through and take the shape of. When you pass through each one, Rotom will learn a new move. Gamestop Shiny Pichu now available for download via Wi-Fi?! Huh?! What is this? =o_o= Well, apparently... Due to my reading of a comment posted on one of my previous videos, I decided to check it out for myself. The results were that his comment was 100% true. The Shiny Pichu that was given away at local Gamestops is now available... Over Wi-Fi! As for downloading it, it's the same process. Just that instead of choosing the option from Mystery Gift: "GET VIA WIRELESS", choose the option just below it... The one that says: "GET VIA NINTENDO WFC" But of course, you'll need Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection in order to use that option. So, just either go to an area that has Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection or use any area compatible with Nintendo DS Wi-Fi at home. Any other information you need to know is in the video itself. So, be sure to watch it then, and most of your questions should be answered. Be sure to download the Shiny Pichu as soon as you can, it is not certain for exactly how long this giveaway will be active. Don't worry; you're not going crazy. Yes, this is indeed me playing the Japanese version of Pokémon Battle Revolution. I received this game a long time ago, believe it or not. However, the Wii is region-locked-- in other words, the Wii doesn't boot import games, so I wasn't able to play it. But I found out a way to "trick" my Wii into loading the game, so to speak. However, since you guys probably can't read Japanese, I will not be uploading Japanese PBR matches very often (unless you guys prefer them for some reason.) Moreover, I think it's neat that I'm able to load this game after all, but I still prefer being able to understand the announcer and attacks being thrown at me. One cool thing about this version of the game is that the process of connecting to Nintendo Wi-Fi is practically three times faster than the American version. In a matter of a few seconds I am connected and ready to battle the world. That's one strange Arcanine. Normally when I think of Arcanine I don't think of other threats besides Extremespeed and Overheat. Poor Roserade. I honestly thought it could out-speed Arcanine, as it is especially EV trained in Speed. Even if I could have seen into the future, I wouldn't have withdrawn it from battle because the burn would have caused numerous problems later on. That's what I thought, anyway, until I remembered Roserade had the ability Natural Cure! I specifically bred for that nature so I'd be prepared for these kind of situations. Between August 3rd and September 13th, 2009, any North American copy of Pokemon Platinum (possibly international versions as well; try it!) can connect to Nintendo WFC using Mystery Gift to download the Member Card item that can be used to enter the inn in Canalave City after obtaining the National Dex and giving the sleeping boy in Canalave City the Lunar Wing from Fullmoon Isle. Lurking inside that inn is the path to Darkrai itself... This video shows you the process to unlock Mystery Gift in the first place, shows you receiving the Member Card, the trip to Newmoon Isle, and a few other things having to do with Darkrai. Random Wi-Fi Singles match @ Lagoon Colosseum. I was thinking that Garchomp would run away from a potential Ice Beam, but yeah, it didn't turn out that way. Fortunately, the rest of the battle went fairly well for me, with Meganium and Milotic taking several hits and hitting back. I'm testing out Nature Power on Meganium, mostly as a surprise move. Obviously, it's very situational. I used: Kingdra (Aquagon), Meganium (Mido), and Milotic (Mermaid). The opponent used: Garchomp, Gengar, and Alakazam. |
